Workplace investigations can be challenging, particularly when dealing with conflicting accounts, sensitive allegations, and difficult judgment calls. This practical online event takes you through a realistic workplace investigation from first complaint to final outcome, giving you the opportunity to observe, analyse, and assess every stage of the process.
Led by Jack Balmer, Tughans and Julie Homes, Legal Island, you'll explore how investigations should be handled in line with the LRA Code of Practice and Northern Ireland employment law, while identifying common mistakes that can increase organisational risk.
A poorly handled workplace investigation can lead to employee relations issues, reputational damage, and increased legal risk. Yet many investigations involve complex situations where there is no straightforward answer.
Using a realistic case study, this event allows you to see how decisions are made in practice, observe interviews and evidence gathering as they happen, and critically assess the actions taken throughout the process. You'll gain both the legal framework and practical insight needed to navigate workplace investigations with greater confidence.
A unique feature of this event is its joint facilitation by an employment law specialist and an experienced HR practitioner, providing both legal and practical perspectives on workplace investigations.
This event is designed for anyone involved in:
Whether you are new to workplace investigations or have significant experience, this session will help you test your thinking, reflect on complex workplace situations, and take away practical approaches you can use in your organisation.
