About Sean Hanna

Sean was appointed Employment Development Manager with NOW Group in April 2016.  Sean is responsible for co-ordinating the ESF funded; Verve programme & DfC funded; Workable NI contracts respectively. 

Verve programme operates across the following council areas: Ards & North Down, Lisburn and Castlereagh, Belfast, Antrim & Newtownabbey, Mid & East Antrim.  Verve programme is primarily an employment and training programme, assisting participants with Autism / Asperger’s, Learning difficulties and/or health related conditions into paid employment.  Workable NI is provincewide, across Northern Ireland, supporting employee’s who have; Autism / Asperger’s, Learning difficulties and/or health related conditions sustain their respective jobs.  Workable NI supports the employer as much as the employee.

Sean has worked across the Employment, Education and Training sector(s) for the previous 9 years, with particular focus across DEL / DfC / DfE funded initiatives, such as; Training for Success (TfS), Steps to Work and Steps to Success (S2S) programmes respectively.

Sean is a graduate from (UCLAN) University of Central Lancashire and holds a BA Hons Degree in Sport and Business Management.  Sean is currently participating on a part-time MSc in Business Development and Innovation at UUJ.  Additionally, Sean is an alumni member of ILM, having completed the ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management diploma through SERC and Queens University.  

In November 2015 Sean was presented with the North Down Young Business Person of the Year (under 30) award and placed 3rd within the Belfast Business Awards, same category.
