About Michael Wardlow
Michael was the Chief Commissioner for the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland, a part-time public appointment for 8 years until February 2020. A self-employed consultant, a role he took up in September 2009 after almost 15 years as the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education.
Michael is also a visiting Research Fellow at Queen's University Belfast and member of the NI Advisory Board of the British Council. Michael has worked in almost 40 countries, including two years spent in Uganda and three years with the European Alliance of YMCA’s in East and Central Europe following the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Michael is a regular speaker and facilitator at a variety of international reconciliation events and have carried out a number of evaluations of peace building projects in Europe, Asia and Africa.
