About Matthew Hamilton
Matthew is an experienced HR professional having worked in an HR partnering capacity over several years for a range of both private and public sector organisations. Prior to joining Think People as an HR Consultant, Matthew held HR positions within Viridian Group Ltd and NHS Scotland.
In 2017, Matthew was awarded CIPD HR Consultant of the Year for a cultural transformation and staff engagement project with a leading Northern Irish IT company.
Throughout his career, Matthew has been responsible for the provision of professional and effective HR support for managers at all levels across the full range of people management subjects, with a track record of managing to implement HR activities that add value to the organisation.
Matthew’s experience as a Senior Consultant with Think People has included the provision of guidance to business leaders and line managers in employment law, equality legislation HR best practice. Matthew has supported many Think People clients to create, enhance and develop their existing organisational approaches to people management.
Matthew has supported organisations through employment relations issues of a complex and sensitive nature, including organisational change activities such as TUPE, redundancy and job evaluation. In support of talent management, Matthew has also managed a range of recruitment programmes and has had responsibility for designing and implementing recruitment campaigns from initial job design stage through to employee onboarding.
Matthew also facilitates training and development for managers on a wide range of ER/HR subjects including management skills, communication, policy and employment law updates and equality and diversity.
Educated to Post Graduate Level and CIPD qualified Matthew holds a PGDip in Personnel and Development and currently undertaking a Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring qualification. He has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and experience to provide quality HR support to all levels of management.
