About Linda Hynes

Linda is a Managing Associate in the Employment, Immigration and Reward in Lewis Silkin Ireland. Linda trained with Landwell Solicitors in Dublin and then worked in-house for several years with an international drinks manufacturer where she advised on all employment law matters (contentious and non-contentious), compensation and benefit matters and dispute resolution. Linda headed up the employment law and data protection team of Leman Solicitors for 6 years where she advised clients on a variety of employment law issues. She is known for giving practical solutions to people issues and helping employers reduce employment law risks.

Linda is a graduate of NUI Galway where she obtained a Bachelor of Corporate Law and a post-graduate Bachelor of Law. She holds a Diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland and is also a certified mediator with the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland. She is qualified to practice law in Ireland, England & Wales.

Linda advises on all aspects of the employment law relationship from recruitment to termination and everything in between. Her expertise includes advising on grievances, investigations and disciplinary procedures. She also advises multinationals and employers on changes to terms and conditions, unfair dismissals, payment of wages claims, restructuring and transfer of undertakings.

Linda is also a certified practitioner in Data Protection and advises clients on data protection compliance including dealing with access requests and data breaches, transfers of data abroad and using data for marketing purposes. Linda also advises on business immigration matters such as work permit, secondments and global mobility issues

Linda regularly provides in-house employment law and data protection training to clients and their teams and is a regular contributor to Legal-Island. Linda has been noted by Chambers Europe as an ‘associate to watch’.
