About Professor Gregory O'Hare
Professor Gregory O'Hare joined Trinity College Dublin in September 2021 as Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Head of School. Previously Professor O’Hare taught at University of College Dublin, University of Central Lancashire (1984-86) and the University of Manchester. An established researcher of international repute, Professor O'Hare has significant research expertise in Artificial Intelligence, MAS, Ubiquitous Computing and Sensor Networks.
Professor O'Hare has over 500 refereed publications of which over 100 are in high impact journals. He has edited 10 books and has a cumulative career research grant income of circa €82 Million. His research interests are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems (MAS), Ubiquitous Computing and Wireless Sensor Networks. He is an established Principal Investigator with Science Foundation Ireland, having been one of the founders of the CLARITY centre (now INSIGHT) and the very successful CONSUS collaboration with Origin Enterprises in the area of Digital Agriculture.
