About Deirdre Crowley
Deirdre Crowley is the Head of the Privacy and Employment Law Group at Crowley Solicitors.
She Advises organisations including multinationals and leading Irish businesses across various sectors on a wide range of data protection and privacy matters to include GDPR compliance, ePrivacy compliance, data breaches, data subject access requests, transfers of data outside of the EEA and on dealing with special categories of highly sensitive data.
Deirdre regularly acts on behalf of organisations in the context of investigations, audits and prosecutions by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. She also drafts third-party data processing agreements, data subject consents, privacy notices, privacy policies and data protection policies.
Deirdre provides training on the area of data protection, privacy and GDPR compliance to organisations and their employees from relevant departments such as HR, IT, Marketing and Customer Services. She has Considerable experience in employment litigation generally, dealing with many areas from the recruitment and selection of atypical workers to managing complex investigations, disciplinary and appeal processes and to addressing employee/employer breakdown by way of termination agreement or failing dispute resolution efforts, court proceedings. And is a regular lecturer in The Law Society of Ireland and highly sought-after speaker for Legal Island, The Irish Society of Occupational Health Physicians and various Chambers of Commerce in relation to privacy and employment.
