You mean the world to us, so we’ve brought the world to you.
No caring or sensitive person would argue that the COVID-19 pandemic has been a good thing: there has been too much death and hurt for that. However, with any great disruption comes unintended consequences and opportunities, some of which are positive. Many of us have found working from home to be doable and most organisations are looking at some form of hybrid working going forward.
The necessary move to online conferencing and events means that we at Legal Island now have readier access to some of the world’s best speakers, rather than just those from Ireland and the UK.
In this bonus day for delegates at our Annual Review of Employment Law 2021, we bring you a day of internationally renowned speakers on subjects essential to HR professionals and others with an interest in the world of work.
From research showing that shortening the working week improves productivity, engagement & retention, to creating a remote and hybrid working culture, we give you a world of change and HR thought leadership from New Zealand to Switzerland, if not quite infinity and beyond.

Feedback from our Annual Review of Employment Law:
"This was my first year attending the conference so I have nothing to compare it with, but I was absolutely blown away by how easy the event was to navigate and transition from session to break to session was seamless. What I liked most was the fact that notes were available to print beforehand, the knowledge that we will be able to play back the recordings and the ease and comfort of attending from your own home or usual workspace."
Rachel Bradford, HR Officer, Alucraft Limited
"Best virtual conference I have attended."
Orla Mulqueen, Head of HR, TII
"Thought it was excellent to be honest. Don't believe there is anything that I missed out had it been on as normal."
Richard O'Boyle, Associate Director HR, AbbVie
"The digital platform was excellent. The exceptional standard of guest speakers and chairpersons and the opportunity interact in the chat section. The Legal Island Team were absolutely fabulous at managing the whole event - well done."
Elizabeth Kingston, Consultant, HR Coaching Solutions

Louise Magee, Senior HR Manager, SITA
"It was very well run. I enjoyed seeing the comments from the other delegates. The speakers were very engaging and engaged with the delegates throughout. I also thought the networking forum was a great idea. 3 minutes was just right, plus the ability to DM the speakers and other delegates at the conference was very useful."
Ann-Marie Gallagher, HR Executive, Department of Public Expenditure and Reform
"Really good couple of days. Presentations were brilliant and very topical. Liked the fact that most of the questions were answered also."
Catherine Carroll, People Director, Collinson
"Excellent course. The speakers were brilliant delivering very relevant and useful information!"
Megan Airey, HR Generalist, Aperee Ltd
"Hopin as an online platform was user friendly and it was brilliant in how 'Main Stage' and 'Rooms' were easily accessed for viewing. Networking option was also a brilliant idea. In some way, it was like being in the hotel for the actual event as the virtual event gave that feeling. The group discussions were good to hear different views and ideas. Content from each speaker was relevant and up-to-date. It was lovely to see comments from others, where similarities could be seen."
