Join us for our first employment law seminar of the year with Mark McAllister, Director of Employment Relations Services with the Labour Relations Agency. In this seminar, Mark will highlight the key employment law developments from 2022 including, Parental Bereavement Leave; and will highlight a couple of important Private Members Bills.
Mark will also discuss his top 5 cases from 2022 including the Brazel v Harpur Trust case as well as cases that focus on employment status, constructive dismissal and abuse of grievance procedures. To conclude the seminar Mark will highlight key developments to be aware of in 2023 including the Agnew Holiday Pay case and Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill etc.

Mark McAllister is Director of Employment Relations Services with the LRA and part-time lecturer in Law. He specialises in employment law, dispute prevention and strategic collaborative working in industrial and employment relations. Mark is the former Northern Ireland Convenor of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the Chair of the NI ICSA Governance Institute. He is an accredited mediator, a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Group and the Industrial Law Society and is a regular speaker on the employment law circuit and contributor to employment law publications.
