Becky is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales and Ireland with significant commercial and legal leadership experience from law firms and leading FMCG companies. She is a commercial, practical and solution focused lawyer who is passionate about businesses and their employees, most recently she worked as Global Employment Lawyer for Citco Group.
Through SPARC 2C Limited, Becky works with a range of clients (businesses and individuals) on HR, GDPR and commercial legal matters as well as providing Personal, Leadership and Executive Coaching.
Becky is passionate about diversity and inclusion, gender inequality, mental wellness in the workplace, mentoring and employee engagement. She co-founded a number of women’s and diversity networks and is an active mentor/coach. She also speaks regularly on various topics including D&I.

Seònaid Ó Murchadha Workplace Coordinator

Founder of Amputee Disability Federation Ireland, Seònaid Ó Murchadha (pronounced ‘Show-nid Oh Muraku’) has been promoting the employment of disabled people for more than two decades, regularly contributing pieces across news media, Irish national radio, and television.
With certification from the International Disability Management Standards Council as well as recognition from the Canadian National Institute of Disability Management & Research (NIDMAR), she helps organisations embrace disability and difference by providing creative solutions to disability inclusion at work, facilitating inclusive recruitment processes, and advising on policy. She also represents the Independent Living Movement Ireland on employment issues at government level and was honoured to be elected to their board of directors last year. She currently lectures at Maynooth University on Disability Studies and provides HR support for members of the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association.
Nicknamed the Bionic Business Woman by broadcaster Conall Ó Morain when she received her new bionic arm in 2017, she uses the moniker as her social media handle as it is much easier for others to spell or remember!

Since graduating from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1985, Sam has spent his entire career working within the HR field. Starting in Northern Ireland Electricity, Sam spent five years learning the ropes of what was then ‘personnel management’ as a graduate and during this time helped to set up the first Equal Opportunities unit in the organisation. Sam left NIE to join Nortel Networks, and has acted as HR Business Partner for a number of international business units. Sam joined Henderson group in 2004, as their first Group HR Director, and is still thoroughly enjoying the journey as they continue to grow and become a truly leading organisation within the food sector on the island of Ireland and indeed Great Britain.

He specialises in employment law, dispute prevention and strategic collaborative working in industrial and employment relations. Mark is the former Northern Ireland Convenor of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the Chair of the NI ICSA Governance Institute. He is an accredited mediator, a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Group and the Industrial Law Society and is a regular speaker on the employment law circuit and contributor to employment law publications.

Mary Kitson is employed by the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland as a Senior Legal Officer. Mary qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and after 1 year working in a commercial law firm joined the Fair Employment Commission in 1993.
Mary commenced employment with the Equality Commission in 1999. Her role involves providing advice and assistance to people who believe that they have been subjected to unlawful discrimination and to help the Commission choose appropriate cases to support.

Peter Daly is a partner at Doyle Clayton Solicitors. He specialises in claimant litigation and has acted in two of the most prominent philosophical belief cases of recent years: Casamitjana -v- League Against Cruel Sports, which established Ethical Veganism as a protected philosophical belief under the Equality Act 2010, and Forstater -v- CGD Europe, which established the same protection for gender critical and gender identity beliefs. He is currently acting for several gender critical clients pursuing claims of discrimination arising from their beliefs.
Peter qualified in 2009, and previously worked at Bindmans LLP and Slater and Gordon Lawyers. He is recognised in the directories for his work in discrimination and whistleblowing law. Olga started her HR career back in 2002 at Administrator level and worked her way up to Human Resources Manager responsible for managing the entire HR life-cycle in a fast-paced tech environment.
After leaving the software sector Olga worked in the public sector in an interim Employee Relations position before moving to Phoenix Natural Gas as Human Resources Manager responsible for both HR and payroll. Here Olga digitised the recruitment process and created a health and wellbeing strategy among other things.
Still within the utilities sector, Olga moved to firmus energy as HR Manager in August 2019 where she focuses on employee engagement through an array of engagement interventions.

Jason Elliott was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 2013 and is the Associate Head of School of Law at Ulster University. As a practising barrister, he has developed a largely civil practice representing individuals, companies and public bodies in litigation. This covers a wide range of areas including personal injuries, wills and employment law. In terms of employment law, he has represented both applicants and respondents in the Industrial Tribunal. At Ulster University, Jason lectures extensively on the civil areas of practise such as Equity and Trusts and delivers employment law lectures for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

He currently works as the Director of Campaigning with Fórsa Trade Union, Ireland’s largest public service union. He is responsible for coordinating Fórsa’s national campaigns, developing and leading a campaigning culture and capacity, and building a greater profile for the union’s concerns and policies.
Joe is also the chairperson of the Four Day Week Ireland campaign, having coordinated the formation of the coalition in 2019, and the successful launch of a pilot programme and government-funded research project in 2021.

Before joining Translink Gordon’s previous experience included executive roles within large global organisations including Bombardier Aerospace, Nortel Networks and Dunbia.
Gordon was appointed Chair of the Institute of Directors NI in April 2018 and Chair of the Labour Relations Agency in May 2021. He has served on Boards within both the private and public sector.
He has an MBA, is a Fellow of IoD, Chartered Fellow of CIPD and is a Visiting Professor at the Ulster University Business School.

Lisa is a partner in the employment and immigration team of Eversheds Sutherland. Lisa trained and qualified with Eversheds LLP (as was then) in Nottingham and London before moving back ‘home’ in 2009. She has led the employment and immigration practice in Northern Ireland since re-joining the firm in 2017.
Lisa has considerable experience of providing contentious and non-contentious employment law advice to private and public sector clients. She specialises in restructuring and TUPE work, major change programmes, executive matters and severances and Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunal litigation. Lisa is an experienced Tribunal advocate and has appeared in numerous hearings both in Northern Ireland and England. Lisa advises clients across a broad range of sectors with a particular interest in the financial and professional services, retail, media and telecommunications, transport and logistics and manufacturing sectors.
