Protecting Data when Home Working

About this course

With most organisations suddenly having remote working thrust upon them, what are you doing to protect your employees, customers and reputation? Compliance around data and data protection for remote workers is very important. This is why we created a 30-minute course to protect you and your organisation.
Data breaches are often accidental and the result of staff carelessness. The fear and panic surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) have produced a perfect ‘high stress’ environment for cyber criminals.

What is the purpose of this course?

This Protecting Data when Home Working course will help your employees understand the essential elements of protecting data when they work outside the office.  It is important that your employees are at the centre of driving a privacy culture across the organisation to ensure protection and compliance.

Making the move at short notice from your trusted office environment to homeworking can create security risks, making homeworkers susceptible to falling for scams such as phishing emails.

Who needs protecting data when home working training?

It is vital that all employees who work from home (or remotely) know how to protect your organisation from cyber attacks and understand their obligation under data protection legislation to protect the data they handle against:

  • Unauthorised and unlawful processing
  • Accidental loss
  • Destruction
  • Damage

The standard rate of this course is £30+VAT per staff member, however, depending on the number of staff you have, discounts may be available.
