About this course
In partnership with:
While continuing to navigate our way through the COVID-19 pandemic, as organisations and employees consider transitioning office-based workers to a new remote working option permanently, it is necessary that managers are trained to optimise team performance. They also need to protect the wellbeing of each team member, whether they all work remotely, or some are based in the office and are part of a hybrid team.
In this new era of hybrid teams and shift in management practices, it is vital a manager also knows how to manage their new workload, reduce pressure, and protect their own health and wellbeing. With this in mind, we have created a 60-minute eLearning course to provide managers of remote workers in the UK with the tools to manage and motivate their teams, optimise performance, and achieve organisational goals.
About remote working
Working remotely is not a new concept and has been practised by some organisations from as early as the 1990s. However, until the COVID-19 crisis hit, there were still many employees who had never experienced working outside of the office. In addition, managers were not experienced in either managing or motivating these employees in a remote setting.
A remote worker is anyone who works from home or another place, away from the office. This can be either occasionally, or permanently, full time or part-time.
What is the purpose of this course?
It takes a highly skilled team leader to be able to build, manage and maintain a successful hybrid team. Challenges of managing remote workers include conflict management, finding the balance between regular check-ins and micromanaging, developing productive relationships, and securing input from all staff for new ideas.
The purpose of this course is to provide managers of remote workers with the tools to manage and motivate their teams, optimise performance, and achieve organisational goals.
Who needs managing and motivating remote workers training?
This course was designed specifically for organisations that have employees in managerial positions. This course will enable them to acquire the knowledge and skills to successfully manage and support teams working remotely.
