About this course
It is vital that your employees have an understanding of the importance of cyber security and the dangers that may be present in your workplace.
Legal Island’s Cyber Security Awareness eLearning course is tailored specifically to UK law and provides comprehensive compliance training for all employees on cyber security practices in the work environment.
Why is cyber security training important?
The importance of cyber security cannot be overstated in today’s digital world. Technology is everywhere and has become a fundamental part of modern life that we all rely on both at home and at work.
The move to hybrid and remote working practices in recent years has led to an even greater dependence on technology in the workplace to facilitate effective communication between employees. This combined with global economic and geopolitical disruption has led to us becoming more susceptible than ever to the growing threat of cyber crime.
Recovering from a cyber attack can be difficult and costly. As new security threats emerge every day, businesses need to be strategic and proactive in their approach to cyber security.
Recent government statistics reveal that a staggering 39% of businesses experienced a cyber attack in 2022*.

Who needs cyber security training?
While many assume cyber security is the sole responsibility of IT or digital departments, it’s important to remember that it affects every individual within your organisation.
Advice from data protection experts is that cyber security training is completed on day one of employment and then refreshed regularly to ensure all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in protecting your organisation and themselves from a cyber attack.
According to Verizon’s 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report, 74% of all data breaches can be traced back to human error.
How long does this Cyber Security training take?
The course will take no longer than 60 minutes to complete including an assessment. Each member of staff will receive their own personalised certificate upon successful completion.
