LRA Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievance Procedures Published

The final draft of the LRA Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievance Procedures has been published online. From a quick scan, one of the differences between the NI Code and the Acas Code for GB is the reference under the heading 'Evolving Developments' to developing case law under Article 6 (right to a fair trial ) of the ECHR.

And, of course, the LRA Code differs from the position in GB where the statutory grievance and dismissal and disciplinary procedures were both repealed. In Northern Ireland, we have retained the statutory dismissal and disciplinary procedures but repealed the statutory grievance procedures from 3 April.
