With the public spending cuts due to be announced on 20 October and reports of the Republic Ireland once again going into recession, many NI businesses will be contemplating redundancies and might well be in danger of becoming insolvent. We asked the Corporate Legal Services department of PwC to set out the law in relation to the various forms of insolvency and the impact they might have on employment status.
