The British Academy has published a new report which claims that a “sharp rise” in work stress in Britain is becoming a major social problem in the current economic crisis. The report, entitled Stress at Work, says that even employees who have escaped loss of employment during the economic downturn are suffering under the pressure of company downsizing and restructuring.
