Frequently Asked Questions
MOST POPULAR QUESTIONS
Q. I didn’t get my email today
Despite our best intentions, sometimes emails don’t get through to the intended recipient. This can happen for a number of reasons; they can be diverted into your junk mail, blocked by a firewall, soft bounce or hard bounce. Your first step here should be to contact your IT department to check if the firewall filtered out an email from Legal-Island. Also, ask the IT department to whitelist our emails so you don’t encounter any issues in future.
If the email hasn’t been filtered out by a server or firewall, please email hub@legal-island.com. We will investigate the issue and respond to you.
Q. I can’t log into the Hub
To access the Employment Law Hub, please use the email address at which you currently receive Legal-Island emails, and the password you were allocated when you signed up for the service. If you have forgotten your password, use the password reset tool on the login page. This will email you instructions on how to reset your password. If you don’t receive the email within a few minutes, please check your junk mail.
Q. I can’t find what I’m looking for. Can you help?
On the Hub, we have split all of our information by the feature in which it was contained. For example, First Tuesday Q&A, Weekly Review of Developments, How do I handle it? etc. If you remember the type of email the information was contained in, you can search that specific feature by navigating to Regular Features > [Feature Name] and then either search within that specific feature, or filter results by topic.
If you are need information on a specific term, for example Calculate Holiday Pay, use quote marks around your query, i.e. search for "Calculate Holiday Pay". This will return results where these words have been used in that exact order on the Hub, which will give you very specific results.
Q. I’ve been logged out unexpectedly. Is there a problem?
The site has functionality that will only permit user login credentials (username and password) to be used on one device at any one time. If you have been sharing subscription details with colleagues and have been logged out unexpectedly, this might be the reason. If this is the case, please contact our office on (Antrim) 028 9446 3888 / (Dublin) 01 401 3874 and we can upgrade you to our excellent value multi-user subscription package.
If nobody else could have accessed your account and you have been logged out unexpectedly, please try logging in again. If this fails, email hub@legal-island.com and a member of staff will investigate.
Q. When does my subscription expire?
To check your subscription expiry date, take the following steps:
Log into your account > My Legal-Island > Manage Subscription
