Legal-Island Celebrates Hat-trick of Awards Successes
Legal-Island scooped three prestigious awards at the Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards last night.
Hosted by Karen Patterson the gala dinner held in the Ramada Hotel, Belfast, attracted some of the biggest and most respected Northern Irish companies - each hoping to take home one of the coveted awards.
We were delighted to receive 'Highly Commended' honours in three categories - a first for any company at these awards.
Highly Commended - Best Place To Work (SME)
This award demonstrated that we have created an outstanding workplace, based on a set of values that has led to a committed, effective and motivated workforce. We empower our staff in driving continuous improvement and take a very proactive approach to people management. We have a clear strategy in place which is committed to the development of our workforce, in support of the organisation's objectives.
Highly Commended - Managing Talent (SME)
This second award recognised our ability to demonstrate an innovative and effective approach to managing fresh and experienced talent. We have a systematic approach for identifying and developing talent through effective performance management and measurement processes. As the effects of the recession ease, we have developed the necessary leadership and key talent required to power our company's growth. We have the best talent to ensure that all our operations are performed well and results in our ability to market and service new offerings to facilitate our expansion.
Highly Commended - Innovative Employer (SME)
Our hat-trick was completed with this award, which recognised our ability to demonstrate innovative approaches to meeting the needs of tomorrow's workforce within our organisation, at a time when the current economic climate, despite emerging from recession, continues to bring considerable new challenges. Preparing our workforce for the future is key to our business and we have identified the best new methods and initiatives to ensure that our workforce is fit for purpose going forward.
