Viviane Reding is New EU Commissioner
The Commissioner-designate at the EU for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship is Viviane Reding. After the allocation of portfolios, the Equality between Men and Women, Action against Discrimination, Civil Society Directorate G of Directorate-general "Employment, social affairs and inclusion" remains within the same Directorate-General but is placed under the responsibility of Viviane Reding, who was born in Luxembourg. She looks a bit like Honor Blackman, whereas the new transport commissioner looks more like John Cleese. You don't have to be a film star lookalike to become a commissioner but it obviously helps.
