McGrigors and Pinsent Masons to merge
Legal-Island can confirm that McGrigors is to merge with Pinsent Masons to create a law firm that partners believe will be better placed to meet the changing needs of their clients.
This merger will give the organisation the platform to provide more support and more flexible solutions to their clients across a wider range of opportunities, projects and challenges.
Whilst embracing new ways to deliver more to our clients, Richard Masters, Managing Pertner at McGrigors, reassures clients that everything that they know and value in McGrigors will remain the same. Day to day advisers and McGrigors knowledge and understanding of your affairs will not change. Indeed, the biggest initial change will simply be a change of name. From 1st May, they'll be known as Pinsent Masons.
The combined firm will have a turnover of around £300m and employ over 1500 lawyers. It will rank within the top 75 globally and the top 12 in the UK.
The firm will have market-leading national coverage, being the only law firm with offices in each of the UK's three legal jurisdictions. It will also have a strong international presence with premises in Asia and the Gulf, and plans to open in continental Europe during the coming year.
Over the next few weeks, McGrigors will contact their clients regarding their enhanced capabilities and to talk through the practicalities of the merger and answer any queries you may have.
