Employment Law Seminars - Speaker

Sam Ellis is ASCL's Funding Specialist. He worked in schools in England for 36 years before becoming a full-time ASCL employee. Whilst working in schools Sam was the East Riding Branch Secretary for the Secondary Heads' Association (later ASCL) and also represented local Headteachers on the Schools' Forum. As part of that work he co-developed an activity led funding model for East Riding which was subsequently adopted for use in other local authourities and also by f40, the group representing low funded authorities in England.

Since joining ASCL Sam has developed funding tools which are available for members on the ASCL website. He currently writes a regular column for Leader, has contributed to other education publications and regularly runs courses on financial management in schools.
