Subscribers may also search our email vault on this website for case law summaries and much more besides from 2003 onwards.

Europe

BAILII - The best site for judgements, with a fantastic search engine, this site has links to almost every decision database imaginable for cases relevant to the UK and the Republic of Ireland. It also includes an extensive world law resource section. Generally recommended as the first place to start and often the only one you will need.

European Court of Justice - access to the case-law by case number makes it possible to find information relating to every case brought before the Court of Justice or the Court of First Instance between 1953 and the present day.

European Court of Human Rights
-HUDOC the official database of the European Court of Human Rights. It contains nearly all decisions and judgments of the Court, the decisions and reports of the Commission and the judgments of the "old" part-time Court. It is a full-text database which can be used free of charge

Northern Ireland

Court of Appeal - This Bailii database contains judgments of the Northern Ireland Court of Appeal some of which date back to 1998

High Court (QBD) selected judgments 1998 onwards

NI Court Service - A very useful website for finding the latest NI judgements but contains much more than employment cases.

OITFET - Search for NI Industrial and fair Employment Tribunal Decisions from January 2007 onwards and download relevant forms.

Industrial Court - There aren't many claims made before the NI Industrial Court (the equivalent of the Central Arbitration Committee in GB) but this is where you will find information and decisions on some collective employment issues, such as recognition of trade unions.

Britain

House of Lords - all judgements since 1996, usually within 2 hours of being handed down

Court of Appeal - the excellent Bailii site includes all significant handed down decisions from August 1999 onwards, and all the substantive decisions of the court since January 2003.

High Court - The Bailii site contains selected judgements back to 1996.

EAT - Employment Appeals Tribunal in GB. A good searchable database but with limited commentary on what is contained there. It has a very good latest judgements section, which, as the name suggests, is where you will find the latest online decisions, often before they appear on any other websites.
