Legal-Island is a leading training and information company working in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. We specialise in all matters relevant to today's work force in both jurisdictions. Each year we call on the services of more than 100 lawyers and HR experts to deliver in-house training, seminars and large conferences addressing key developments relevant to the world of work.
Our employment law email service is written by top law firms and is now relied on by hundreds of organisations throughout the Island of Ireland to keep abreast of important developments relating to labour law.
In June 2007 Legal-Island won the inaugural Irish News best place to work (SME) award.

Kellie Shields Director |
Kellie heads our finance department having a degree in business studies & marketing from the University of Ulster. She joined the company in 2002 through an agency on a temporary contract and has reached the dizzy heights of company director. She works part-time and has two children, Katherine, 6, and Sophie, 2.
Known for her bright smiles and "Hellos!" Kellie continues to describe herself as quite a shy person. |
 Judith George Email Manager
Judith joined Legal-Island as an E-mail Manager in August 2006, after working for 5 years as an Administration Manager for a leading Mortgage Broker.
In her youth Judith enjoyed travelling the world, she spent time living in Europe, Canada and most recently Australia. However, that all changed in the spring of 2005 when she met her future husband en route to Dublin via Translink! |
 Stacey Thompson Office Assistant
Stacey started with Legal-Island in August 2005, as an office administrator. She is responsible for the smooth running of the administration of Legal-Island's events. She is currently completing an HNC in Business.
In her spare time Stacey enjoys socialising with her friends, has recently got engaged and has just passed her driving test and bought a car. Beware! |
 Sarah Neill Office Assistant
Sarah joined the team as an administrator in August 2006, assisting in the day to day running of the Island. She lived in Leeds for 3 years moving home after graduating with a degree in Economics for Business from Leeds Metropolitan Unviersity in 2005. |
Siobhán McFaul Conference Manager
Siobhán joined us in January 2005 after travelling overseas for a while. Formerly a manager at the Hilton group of hotels Siobhán is responsible for capturing and bottling that certain something that makes Legal-Island events just that little bit special.
For Siobhán its all about quality including fast cars. |
Scott Alexander Head of Training & Development
Scott grew up in Edinburgh, his claim to fame being slightly different to everybody else in Edinburgh in that he did not get his milk delivered by Sean Connery, even though he lived around the corner from the actor's old house.
Having worked in Industrial Relations for four years after graduating in Economics, Scott moved to Northern Ireland in 1990. After working in the NI Housing Executive, a private training organisation and the Labour Relations Agency, Scott joined Legal-Island in January 2006. |
James Dyer Company Accountant
James joined the company in August 2006 as "Company Accountant" - a new and evolving post within Legal-Island. James has many years' experience in the distribution industry, throughout Ireland. This valuable experience will help him co-ordinate the successful growth of the company.
Having four boys of school age, James certainly has his work cut out for him away from the office. Stopping one short of a five-a-side team means he might have to make up the numbers...in goal.. |
Monika Watly Head of E-Marketing |
Monika joins us from Poland having graduated from college there in 2003. She heads up our Email Marketing Department as well as assisting in office administration. From the regal way she sits at her PC we all think she must be a direct descendant of the last Polish King. May be he too would have enjoyed Guns n Roses concerts and Sunday afternoon swims across Lough Neagh. | |
